Who We Are

New Horizon Lodge is a newly established care facility dedicated to providing top-tier care and supported accommodation services to care leavers and young people aged 16 to 18. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where care leavers and young people can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Our facility is designed to offer a home-like environment where residents can thrive and receive the care they need to lead fulfilling lives. Our service is designed to cater to young people who require varying levels of support to achieve independence and positive outcomes in life. Through compassion and dedication, we aim to empower individuals to navigate daily life choices, and we achieve this by tailoring a care and support plan that revolves around the unique needs, preferences, and status of our residents.

Our Services

Our supported accommodation service includes a range of tailored interventions aimed at meeting the specific needs of each child or young person. Our services offered include:

24/7 Care, support and Supervision

Ensure round-the-clock care and supervision by trained professionals who are dedicated to the well-being of our residents ensuring that care leavers feel safe and supported at all times.

Individualized Care Plans

Each child has a bespoke care plan, developed and implemented to address their physical, emotional, educational, social needs and goals individually. These plans are regularly reviewed and updated in collaboration with the child, their family (where appropriate), and relevant professionals to reflect their progress and changing needs.

Educational Support

We work closely with schools, colleges, and training providers to ensure that care leavers have access to appropriate educational opportunities. For those who are disengaged from formal education, we offer alternative learning pathways including tutoring, homework assistance, and advocacy.

Emotional and Mental Health Support

Through partnerships with local healthcare providers, we ensure access to mental health services such as counselling and therapy, if required. Our staff are trained in supporting care leavers with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Life Skills Training & Development

We provide practical training and guidance in essential life skills such as cooking, budgeting, personal hygiene, time management and maintaining a home to prepare care leavers for independent living.

Health and Wellness Programs

Promote physical and mental health through regular medical check-ups, counselling services, fitness activities, and healthy meal planning.

Recreational Activities

Organize a variety of recreational activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and outings, to ensure a well-rounded experience.

Family and Community Engagement

Facilitate regular family visits and involvement and encourage community engagement to build a supportive network around each child.

Transition Planning

We focus on helping young people transition from supported living to independent adulthood, ensuring they have access to housing, employment, or continued education upon leaving our care
